Someone said, religionist don’t actually love their God, they are simply afraid of His punishments.
How true?
Well, African religionists (Christians, Muslims and the rest), don’t really love God per se, but afraid of his punishments (Hellfire).
Hell fire was my biggest concern and fear while growing up. They never thought me about the love of God, it was all about how I’m gonna perish in hell if I disobey God’s commandments.
I’m a grown man now, and none of those childhood threats scare me anymore. Heaven and Hell sounds like a joke to me right now. Why? Because I wasn’t properly taught about the love of God like I said earlier.
I could remember in Sunday School classes, they told us if we ever thought or imagine the existence of God, we’d run mad or die. But I’ve thought about it over and over again and nothing happened to me. So wtf y’all teaching young kids huh!
A lot of us go to Church and Mosque for that reason. We don’t wanna go to hell.
