I’m of the opinion that we don’t owe our parent nothing and not their retirement plan.
Most parents want to use their children to achieve all the things they couldn’t achieve while they were young, they hide this devilish act under “I want him/her to have the kind of life and opportunity I didn’t have” without minding the risk you expose to.
In fact, the idea and concept of African family is no longer making sense and should be scrapped. We were born by same parents, that’s okay but boundaries should be respected. I don’t owe you nothing. The ideology of Western family is the best. Even parents knows their boundaries.
Like I said, its my personally opinion, not forcing it on you…you agree or disagree.
