| REALLY!! “Nobody Made Me A Star, Only God” – Funke Akindele |
Nollywood superstar actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has credited her Maker, God for making her who she is today.
The award-winning box office Queen, while speaking at the Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) 2025, said nobody made her a star only God.
Funke Akindele recalled how the idea of Jenifa’s brand came to her and how she started writing scripts for her movies. She recounted how someone in the industry told her to keep milking Jenifa’s brand and also gave her money to finance her projects.
Funke also spoke about the shifts in audience behavior and staying relevant in Nigeria’s content marketing space.
