Marlian Records boss, Naira Marley, has alleged that the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was using his wife Wunmi’s mother’s bank account to receive money.
Marley made the claim while addressing issues surrounding Mohbad’s finances and personal dealings before his death.
He suggested that the use of a third-party account raised questions about the transparency of the late artiste’s financial arrangements.
The allegation comes amid ongoing public interest and investigations into Mohbad’s life and career. Neither Mohbad’s family nor his management has publicly responded to Marley’s statement at the time of this report.
In other news…. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the 2027 presidential ambitions of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, calling them “dead on arrival.”
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television in Abuja, Wike said: “The last person they will give a ticket to is Amaechi. That is de@d on arrival. In 2014 and 2015, when he was governor, we defeated him. In 2019, when he was Minister and Director General of Buhari’s campaign, we also defeated him. Even in 2023, when he supported another candidate, he still lost. So how would he now claim the capacity to win?”
Wike also commented on former SGF Babachir Lawal’s displeasure over not being chosen as Vice President, saying: “What was his anger? His anger was that he thought Mr President would have chosen him as the vice presidential candidate. Having not done that, heaven would have to let loose. He wanted to become vice president; that is very obvious.”
Advising political figures on legal issues, Wike added: “Must everybody reach Mr President? Is that the way the government runs? There are ministers and advisers who represent him.”
He also urged former Governor Aminu Tambuwal to clear his name before the EFCC rather than politicize his recent invitation.
