Born on January 25 in the early 1980s and raised in Festac Town, Lagos, DJ Lavibes draws from a rich cultural and musical heritage that resonates throughout his work. His music seamlessly blends Afrobeats, Pop, R&B, Afropop, Salsa, and Dancehall into a dynamic, melodic experience shaped by his signature vocal tone, rhythmic precision, and deep passion for harmony and instrumentation.
Growing up in a family of seven, his Lagos roots serve as the foundation of his creativity, while his educational journey across West Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia has broadened his artistic perspective and enriched his musical versatility.
A skilled drummer and saxophonist, DJ Lavibes began recording professionally at age 18 and is now preparing to release Vibration, a 10-track debut EP that showcases his evolution as an artist. Outside of music, he enjoys football, travel, and exploring new global sounds.
